"Orange wine" is becoming one of the latest trends in the world of wine. Perhaps you've tried it already or maybe you've never heard of it. What is it exactly? It's white wine that has had contact with the grape skins which gives the wine additional color, flavor and texture. The countries of Georgia, Italy and Slovenia make some of the most well known orange wines, but now everyone seems to be giving orange a go including right here in the United States. Here's your chance to be on-trend and have wine educator, Erika Frey, introduce you to the growing category of orange wine. By the end of the class, you will understand how they are made, how they differ from other wine styles and why they are important. Could orange wine become as popular as rose? Join the class, and let's find out together.
You can choose to take this class at Commonwealth Wine School or Online through Zoom. Tastings are provided as part of the in-person class, or available for pick up at our school if you select the Online with Tasting Kit registration option. For those who choose to register for the online class only, wine lists will be provided ahead of time so that you may taste along at home.
