Whether you are a total beginner who just bought your first ukulele or an intermediate player who has been doing straight strums but wants to learn other kinds of funky strokes, this workshop focusses on different strumming patterns based on up and down strokes and the WHAM stroke.
Once you master the basic elements of the right hand (if you are right-handed), you will be able to keep time, get the right rhythm and groove, and accompany yourself to waltzes, pop songs, reggae, and more!
If you don't have your own ukulele, you can rent one for $10 on the day.
Click on the link for the webpage with details of how to get in. Free street parking.
Location: near Milton T (red line, Ashmont - Mattapan trolley)
Note: Walter Baker Building once housed the administrative offices of the oldest chocolate factory in America. This location is known as Historic Lower Mills, a place of beauty and history.
