It's our third anniversary!!!! Help us celebrate this community and the space built to combat oppression(s) and work toward safe(r) and sacred spaces.


We will have an extended open mic, and some featured guest performers. We will also have music, food, and (of course), foolishness. There will be cake and a few fundraisers to help send our 2017 team to The National Poetry Slam in Denver, CO.


This is "summer in the city," so you know we're going to have our first outdoor slam/jam; meaning, EVERYONE* can get in this time!!! :-) See details below.

ABOUT THE HOUSE SLAM:


"The House Slam” at the Haley House Café (12 Dade Street, Boston, 02119) is Boston’s Newest Poetry Slam venue located in the heart of Dudley Square. The venue offers awesome food, an open mic, a featured poet and a poetry slam every 2nd and 4th Friday of the month. The venue is free of cost and welcoming to all (18+).


The anniversary event will take place in the Haley House Parking Lot (12 Dade Street).


Parking lot will open at 6:30pm
Open Mic will begin at 7:15pm (sign-up upon entrance)
Guest Performances begins at 8:30pm


Please bring your ID's. This is an 18+ venue.


Parking is free and plentiful— However, this particular event will not allow parking at the 12 Dade Street location. There are PLENTY of street parking options in the surrounding Dudley Square Area (including across the street). The House Slam is also extremely accessible via Orange Line, Silver Line, and numerous bus routes.
