Award-winning folk/ roots rock band Sweet Wednesday will perform original songs from both of their critically acclaimed albums, as well as many new songs from their upcoming third album "Vagabonds and Angels" (produced by Dave Westner).
From humorous story-songs like “(Lisa, I’m Sorry I Brought You to) New York City” to beautiful melodic pieces like “Desert Flowers on Route 66” and “Days Grow Long”, the band (led by singer/songwriter team Lisa Housman and Dave Falk) explores human relationships and the geography of the countries they have traveled in with an uncommon ear for poetry and details.
The lineup of this nationally touring band includes Lisa Housman and Dave Falk on vocals, harmonies, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, and harmonica, Pepe Hidalgo Ramos on drums, and Jose Downes on bass. A uniquely talented drummer, Ramos splits his time between touring with Sweet Wednesday and performing with Magic Man (Columbia Records).
Sweet Wednesday’s songwriting awards include First Place in the Great American Song Contest and First Place in the Dallas Song Contest. Sweet Wednesday has been featured on over 100 radio and television stations, and has toured in the U.S., Belgium, Holland, England, and Ireland.
Sweet Wednesday’s music videos are also a lot of fun, and have been featured in many film festivals. They can be seen and heard, along with live videos and album tracks, on the band’s website:
"You've succeeded in pushing the song form to something wonderful
and new...Rarely have I encountered such incredible talent.."
-Judges, Great American Song Contest
“Think about the last time you received an unexpected and totally delightful gift. That’s just how I felt when I heard the music of Sweet Wednesday… I didn’t think musicians made music this addictive anymore.”
