Brought into existence by the fabulous artistry of Urbanity Dance, Substrate Independent aims to bring an experience that is intellectually sound, physically driven, and emotional charged to Boston’s South End. A site specific journey into the worlds of movement and philosophy that offers an inside look at the nature of choice in the universe, and the kinds of ideas that bind us together as humans, all brought into reality through the power of dance.


Substrate Independent is part of a new bi-annual Creative Residency at Urbanity, with a culminating showcase at our new space, the Roth Gallery. The first of the series, Substrate Independent features choreography by company dancer Jacob Regan. We hope to see you there!
