Join us for the film screening of "Albatross," a powerful visual journey exploring the consequences of plastics polluting our oceans through the eyes of the albatross population on Midway Island. "Albatross," by Chris Jordan, is the recent winner of the 2018 Planetary Health Film Prize at the Global Health Film Festival, awarded to a film that illustrates our global environmental crisis and its consequent urgent health challenges, awakens us to radically rethink our relationship to nature, and inspires us toward a new path forward. After the film, we will hold time for thoughts and reflections.
"Albatross is a piercing, soaring, sobering, exalting artwork, tinged with the sadness of great love, radiantly brilliant." –Carl Safina, conservationist and writer.
