Ladin will discuss the need for this trans perspective, as well as her process and journey. She is a professor of English at Stern College/Yeshiva University.
In a recent interview in Tablet Magazine, Ladin noted that "transgender identities though they may seem 'new and startling,' are in fact, according to Ladin, 'direct descendants of the biblical genesis of gender.'"
This event is free and open to the public. Books will be available for purchase for $20. Join us for a book signing by the author and a reception following the talk.
This event is part of 'deisIMPACT! an annual social justice festival at Brandeis University.
