WHAT: The Arlington Fire Department will be hosting its 6th annual “Pulling For Hope” event on Saturday, May 3. The event has raised $40,000 for the American Cancer Society since its inception. The entrance fee is $25 per person to register to pull the truck, but it is free admission for all who come to enjoy, and any donations are welcome. Live music, food, lawn games, and more will make this a family fun event for all! Simply sign up or donate ahead of time by clicking here to join the event.

WHEN: Saturday, May 3, from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
WHO: Everyone is welcome! Gather your friends for a little friendly team competition to see who can pull the fully loaded fire truck by rope for 50 feet in the shortest time. All proceeds go directly to the American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Greater Arlington. Whether you are interested in participating, considering supporting the event through sponsorship opportunities, or by donating, your contribution can make a significant difference in the fight against cancer.
WHY: In 2025, more than 2 million new cancer cases are expected to be diagnosed in the United States, and more than 618,000 Americans are expected to die from cancer. Since 1991, Relay For Life events have helped the American Cancer Society invest $3.1 billion into cancer research, contributing to 3.8 million fewer cancer deaths. We provide support programs for people with cancer and their caregivers, including a home away from home at our Hope Lodge communities when they need to travel for treatment and free access to cancer information via our 24-hour helpline, which responds to 300,000 calls and chats annually.
