Join Future In Sight for an educational event on the future of eye care. The collaborative event is designed to foster participant involvement and spark creativity through an open format to encourage conversation, planning, and action to answer the following questions:
• In the face of shifting demographics, what are the unmet needs of seniors with sight loss?
• How can we improve care for our veterans through care partnerships with the private sector?
• What needs do infants/toddlers and their parents have?
• What are the emerging challenges and solutions in employment for those who are blind or have a visual impairment?
Participants will generate the program and structure the schedule for the day. Anyone who is interested in eye care is invited to attend, including parents, teachers, clients, social service providers, medical doctors and technicians, and vocational rehab specialists.
• David Morgan, President & CEO of Future In Sight, is convening this gathering. He will be enthusiastically participating throughout the day in a variety of small and large group conversations with other participants.
• Randy Pierce, President 2020 Vision Quest, Board Chair of Future in Sight, and blind adventurer.
• Dr. Dorothy L. Hitchmoth, Chief of Optometry, VA New England Health.
• Rosa Zubizarreta, Principal at DiaPraxis and an organization development consultant with a background in social services, will be facilitating the event.
The registration fee is $45 and includes conference materials, continental breakfast, and boxed lunch. Space is limited and registration is required. Dress is casual.
