Whether you are new to hiking or new to New England, we have you covered! Spring is finally here – do you want to start exploring NE’s outdoors but not sure where to go, what to bring, or what to expect? Join us for an informational class designed for novice hikers looking for new adventures. Topics will include where to find New England's best hiking trails, what gear to bring, trail/wilderness preparedness, and Q&A with Belle Bozin, a Ridj-it community member, experienced outdoor enthusiast, and native of Northern Maine.
Benefits of taking the courses
1. Ridj-it adventure sparks will be more likely to accept you on trips if they see you've taken this course.
2. Meet fellow hikers to set up trips based on your experience and needs.
3. Learn about how to be an adventure spark so you can get outside more often.
4. Address the doubts you've had about gear with the more experienced members of the community.
More about your teacher
Belle Bozin grew up in the Maine woods adventuring on and around the Appalachian Trail. Outdoorsmanship and wilderness preparation were an integral part of her upbringing. Belle is now on her way to completing her forty-eight 4,000 footers in New Hampshire during four seasons of hiking (Not sure what 48/48 means? No worries - we'll let you know). Belle approaches each outing with a passion for conservationism and a keen eye for opportunities to further develop her wilderness survival skills.
