U35 is a bi-montly reading series for poets under 35. The series seeks to promote and bolster Massachusetts poets under the age of 35 while giving them a venue to share their work and connect with other poets. If you are a poet under 35, sign up to read at a future event!
January's U35 reading will be on Jan. 29, 7-8:30pm at Trident Booksellers & Cafe. Our readers are Cassandra de Alba, Aly Pierce, and David G. Walker. Read all about them below!
Cassandra de Alba's work has appeared in Gabby, Glass: A Journal of Poetry, Smoking Glue Gun, Spy Kids Review & The Shallow Ends, among other publications. Her chapbooks "habitats" (Horse Less Press, 2016) and "ORB" (Reality Hands, 2018) are about deer and the moon, respectively. She is a co-host at the Boston Poetry Slam at the Cantab Lounge and an associate editor at Pizza Pi Press.
Aly Pierce lives in Salem, Massachusetts where she waits tables and mails you records from Deathwish Inc.
David G. Walker is married to the love of his life and is the father to two precocious kids. He is the author of three poetry chapbooks: "Pause: A Collection of Moment Poems" and "Donating Organs in Boxes" from Finishing Line Press, and "Ifs, Ifs, Ifs" from Cervena Barva Press. He teaches high school in Springfield, MA and edits the podcast literary magazine Golden Walkman Magazine.
