This is the first workshop in Boston that was created specifically for Story Slam competitions. Literally hundreds and hundreds of tellers have come out of this workshop and gone on to win story slams and present their stories on stage.
What to expect? A workshop that will cultivate a story based on personal experience into a performance. It's is a great introduction for beginner storytellers into the art-from of storytelling. In this workshop you will begin to learn how storytelling differs from theater, stand up, or twisting balloon animals. You will explore the art of storytelling through guided sense memory, writing, performance, individual and group exercises. Like to try it out? Put your name in the hat for a mini slam. Included in workshop and coaching session.
Already been to a workshop and looking for more? Try Kickbut 2.0. You will receive personal coaching, and fine tuning on how to kick your story up to the next level. Space is very limited to ensure the best quality training.
