Identify new ways to increase flexibility and to move more efficiently that will not only impact your yoga practice, but also your LIFE practice.
Freeing the Neck and Shoulders
The neck and shoulders are common areas where we hold tension, leading to poor posture and pain that can be debilitating and difficult to release. With Feldenkrais Awareness through Movement®, learn gentle movements that can teach your muscles how to let go so that you can move easily without pain.This is a three-class series, but individual class drop-ins are welcome. While the focus in this series is on the neck and shoulders, you will find greater fluidity and connectivity throughout the entire body.
April 28: Discover how to relieve the shoulders, neck and back pain, and how to move with grace and ease by integrating the shoulders and spine.
May 5: Explore movements of the shoulders in relationship to the rib cage, and find ways to allow the pelvis and hips to support the shoulders and neck allowing tension to dissolve.
May 12: Investigate ways in which your entire body can support the cervical spine, giving much needed relief to the chronically overused neck muscles.
