Join us in welcoming Dylan Jack, of the Dylan Jack Quartet, and Eric Hofbauer to The Middle Gray! Dylan Jack has an easy-going way when it comes to his skills on the drums. Eric Hofbauer’s smooth moves on guitar are the perfect accompaniment. Their combined strengths blend perfectly into their free jazz and improv style. While the musical duo relies heavily on free improvisation and original material, covers include works by Miles Davis, Eric Dolphy, and Andrew Hill.


They began performing together in December of 2015. Despite their still short time together, Jack and Hofbauer have already built quite the resume for themselves performing at some reputable establishments. This includes places such as Mt. Pleasant Golf Club (Lowell), Luna Theater (Lowell), Epicure Wine and Jazz Bar (West Bridgewater), Aeronaut Brewing Co. (Somerville), and The Lilypad (Cambridge).
