Deep Field Sounds is proud to bring Norwegian Neo Classical composer Svarte Greiner to perform a show in Cambridge on his short tour of the USA. Erik Skodvin (born 1979 in Norway) is a Norwegian experimental / ambient musician. Raised in Langesund, Norway, he currently lives and works in Berlin, Germany after a long period in Oslo.
Performing under the Alias Svarte Greiner since 2003 he has released many critically acclaimed albums on international labels as well as his own imprint Miasmah.
Most recently he worked on the score for Victoria, a German thriller shot in a single, unedited take, which won big at the Lolas, Germany's equivalent of the Oscars, winning six trophies, including best film, best director for Sebastian Schipper, and best acting honors for stars Laia Costa and Frederick Lau, and most importantly best music. In this project he collaborated with world renowned German Neo-classical Pianist Nils Frahm.
Deep Field Sounds is a new company formed to bring Neo Classical artists to perform for enthusiastic listeners in Cambridge. They will hold monthly receiving sessions at the Lilypad in Inman square, a longstanding home for quality performance.
