From the religious and secular origins of the holiday, to beasts like Krampus, Belsnickel,and the Gryla who represent the consequences for children’s bad behavior, Belanger will celebrate the scariness of the holiday. There will indeed be scary ghost stories and tales of the glories of Christmases long, long ago…
