Celebrated American sculptor Cyrus Dallin created some of his most famous public sculptures in Boston and Arlington. Join a visiting artist in the Cutter Gallery for an exploration of basic techniques of sculpture. This gallery talk will introduce you to the steps involved in developing a sculpture and give you a chance to experience firsthand the malleability of clay, which makes it possible to bend and shape it into any shape imaginable.
Cost of materials is included in the tuition ($30). Meet at the Cutter Gallery, located in the lower (rear) level of the Cyrus Dallin Art Museum, 611 Mass. Ave., Arlington. This class is co-sponsored by Arlington Continuing Education and the Cyrus Dallin Art Museum.
