Panelists:
Ali Banuazizi, a Research Professor of Political Science at Boston College and a Faculty Affiliate at the Center for International Studies at MIT, has held visiting appointments at the University of Tehran, Princeton, Harvard, Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Oxford. Ali served as the founding editor of the Journal of Iranian Studies from 1968 to 1982.
Homa Sarabi is a filmmaker, educator, and programmer, whose work examines the intersections of collective memory and personal history while centering community engagement. Homa is a faculty fellow at Emerson College’s Engagement Lab, and the short program director for the Salem Film Festival.
Panel moderator Erin Trahan is a reporter, critic, and educator specializing in independent film, and a regular contributor to WBUR. As faculty at Emerson College, she teaches courses on film and TV journalism.
