Enjoy an advance screening of his latest award-winning film, The Room Next Door, followed by a conversation with Han interviewed by Cristina Kotz Cornejo. Written and directed by Pedro Almodóvar, the film stars Tilda Swinton and Julianne Moore and won the Golden Lion at the 2024 Venice Film Festival. Don’t miss this special conversation about one of the most anticipated films of the season!


Han West

Han West is a producer known for Lemon (2017) and Oh Lucy! (2017). Currently the EVP of Production and Executive Producer at Washington Square Films, Han is also the founder of Meridian Content, a commercial and feature film production company based in Los Angeles, California. A graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts Asia, Han’s creative vision and dedication to storytelling have established him as a leading voice in contemporary cinema. Han was born in West Newton, Massachusetts, adding a special hometown connection to this event.


Cristina Kotz Cornejo

Cristina Kotz Cornejo is an award-winning filmmaker and Professor of Visual and Media Arts at Emerson College. A trailblazer in media production and education, Cristina was the first Latina Full Professor of Media Production in the United States. Her acclaimed works, such as 3 Américas and the root is more important than the flower, have been screened at festivals worldwide. As a descendant of the Indigenous Huarpe people of Argentina, Cristina brings a unique perspective to her storytelling and teaching. She has received numerous accolades, including the Mann Stearns Distinguished Faculty Award and VARIETY’s Educator of the Year in 2021.
