Greater Ashmont Main Street (Then, Saint Marks Area Main St.) founded the Ashmont Farmers Market in 2008. Since then, the market has become a beloved Dorchester Institution each Friday in Peabody Square!


The market opens July 10 and runs on Fridays from 3-7 p.m.


Join us for the 13th Season of the Ashmont Farmers Market ! Our opening day is set to take place on July 10th. The market will run on Fridays 3-7pm from 7/10 - 10/30.


Safety is our priority for our customers and neighbors. We are dedicated to following physical distancing guidelines by limiting the number customers allowed in the shopping area and keeping the vendor spaces 12 feet apart. We are working with the City of Boston to have an ample supply of PPE and hand sanitizers for market staff, vendors, and volunteers.


To quicken and ease the shopping experience, we will be encouraging all customers to pre-order their items from our vendors either through their online portals or over the phone. Each of our weekly vendors, The Food Project , Sibling Organic Farm , and Stony Creek Farm will have online ordering systems and purchases can be made ahead of time. More details on that will become available as the market opening day approaches. We are still pursuing bread and seafood vendors as well, but do not expect to host accessory or craft vendors or musicians this season due to the Public Health Emergency.


For at least July and August, the market will be operating only as a pick up site without browsing. While items will be for sale on site, they will all be prepackaged bags and boxes of produce, in compliance with recommended farmers market procedures from the state and federal government.
