We are delighted to invite you to Art Overcomes: A Benefit for Silkroad’s Refugee Fellowship Program. Join us for an evening in Boston’s Seaport neighborhood to recognize and support artists who have been forced to flee their homes and seek refuge in our community.
This event will include a panel discussion with Afghan writer and Harvard fellow Homeira Qaderi, Afghan visual artist Fahima Ashori, nd the International Institute of New England’s Chief Advancement Officer and Senior Vice President Alexandra “Xan” Weber. Enjoy a musical performance by Silkroad artist Balla Kouyaté, as well as a silent auction featuring artwork by Fahima Ashori, special Silkroad merchandise, and other exclusive items.
There are three ticket options:
All tickets can be purchased HERE
All of the proceeds from this event will go toward providing our refugee artists a platform to practice and develop their art in a supportive community free from reprisals. For those who are unable to attend, we encourage you to make a donation. Collectively, we can make a positive impact in the lives of these talented artists and provide them with the opportunity to flourish.
Please support Silkroad’s work to make a critical difference in the lives of these artists and their families. We look forward to seeing you at this event and to celebrating the resilience, creativity, and incredible cultural diversity of our community.
