Take a sometimes haunting, sometimes amusing, musical journey through America's past with A Celebration of American Music 7 with Jim Dalton and Maggi Smith-Dalton, featuring performances on voice, guitar, mandolin, and banjo. Enjoy the Daltons' trademark varied palette of styles as they carve a broad path through the American past, from 18th-century ballads to 20th-century blues. This year's illustrated concert features special segments commemorating great and pivotal moments in American cultural and political history, honoring singers Janis Joplin and Ella Fitzgerald and composers Arthur Foote, Victor Herbert, Lou Harrison, George Gershwin (and a special birthday TBA), and more, to surprise, delight, inform, and entertain.
