The Harvard GSAS Action Coalition is hosting a free, public screening of Ava DuVernay's 13th, the Oscar-nominated documentary about race and criminal justice. After the screening, we will take action to advocate for criminal justice reform in a workshop led by the No Drug Arrests Collective and the Mass Incarceration Working Group of the First Parish Unitarian Universalist of Arlington, MA. Learn how to advocate for specific pieces of legislation that promote restorative justice, argue for the decriminalization of drug crimes, ensure proper medical treatment for prisoners, and more.
