You deserve to have a voice!! Our teaching philosophy is to give each student a creative, healthy, and efficient way to use their voice and instrument. No matter the style, fostering a technique of complete vocal freedom and playing with easy musical communication is essential to our educational goals. Additionally, music education is not only about discipline and growth, but also about the growth of one's personhood. We take very seriously the need for compassionate education in an art form so vulnerable and personal.

Bloch Performing Arts was founded in 2021 by Jessica Bloch-Moisand, and started as solely The Bloch Voice Studio. Now Bloch Performing Arts is expanding to include piano lessons with Rafi Mayer at The Mayer Piano Studio, and more voice lessons with Akela Franklin at The Franklin Voice Studio. All lessons currently take place at either Somerville Music Spaces or at the teaching artists home studios.
