The Cafe is produced by Fork & Shoe Theatre Cooperative, a new production company specializing in cheap art cabarets, puppet shows, and home of the Goddamn Brass Band! To follow along, and to get involved, check us out on Instagram @forknshoe.
Event Information:
Cafe du Cheap Artiste is a performance open mic/cabaret, presented every ~4 months in a variety of Boston spaces. Each Cafe has a (loose) theme - pieces can be related to that theme, or not! Please also feel free to dress up in appropriate thematic fashion, or not! The November 4th iteration is ZOMBIE HOMECOMING, a time-honored tradition where the newly undead gather with veteran zombies to celebrate their Halloween successes. The spookiness never ends!!!
At the Cafe, ANYONE can do ANYTHING they want!! Do YOU need to workshop that absurdist puppetry comedy piece you have?? Do YOU have a stand-up routine about your high school's homecoming queen?? Do YOU have a musical number of 'The Road' to debut??? Do YOU want to demonstrate the most creative way to ask someone to The Big Dance??? We're hungry to consume whatever performances come from your BRAAAAAAAINS!!
But, keep in mind: each piece has a strict two minute time limit. If you go over the two minute mark, you will be played off by the Goddamn Brass Band!
