WBUR’s Youth Takeover series empowers high school and college students through conversations and deep exploration of issues specific to today’s youth culture, as led by young people themselves.
After the deadly shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, TX, an urgent appeal for gun control measures has again become a national debate. But often missing from the conversation are the voices of students themselves.
Join us for a virtual panel featuring youth voices from Boston in a discussion lead by CitySpace student co-moderator Dawry Ruiz. Youth all over the country are taking the time to organize and make their voices heard on how gun control laws, or lack thereof, have impacted their educational experience, safety and well-being.
The discussion will address the current school climate in Boston and what it is like to live through an unprecedented time while still expected to learn and organize.
