Community Music Center of Boston is proud to present this annual event, a 2-day long program of workshops, panel discussions and concerts by and for students from elementary school to college. Students work alongside professional composers and performers to create, perform and enjoy contemporary music. All workshops and events are FREE and open to the public. Students can attend any or all workshops and do not need to study privately at the Music Center to participate. Sign-ups are not required!
This year's theme is ROOTS: HERITAGE

*Storytelling Through Music with Community Music Center of Boston's Early Childhood teacher Czarina Shocker
*New Sounds Workshop Presented by New Gallery Concert Series
*Music Therapy
*Drumming Workshop
*World Music Presentation with Community Music Center of Boston's faculty member and erhu musician Ben Swartz
*Reading Session—The Gramercy Trio, Community Music Center of Boston's Artist In Residence, who will read student compositions, moderated by Longy School of Music Composition Professor John Morrison
*Written & Performed By Concert—Students write and perform their original works!
