Join me for on Sundays in August for a special yoga series geared toward athletes. This month I'll be offering two classes each Sunday, structured toward cross-training and recovery. Sign up online at rubyperlmutteryoga.com or in person on the day.


Vinyasa Yoga, 3:00 - 4:00: This class provides a fluid, athletic practice that links breath to movement to build heat. In this series, you can expect a rigorous practice that builds core strength, balances repetitive movement patterns, and introduces breath techniques that benefit any type of cardiovascular endurance training. Vinyasa Yoga teaches mind body awareness and provides mindfulness techniques easily geared toward athletes. This class is a great addition to a cross-training routine.


Yin Yoga, 4:15 - 5:15: This practice focuses on lengthening the fascia tissue in order to achieve and maintain full range of motion, develop greater resiliency to physical strain, and access greater power. You can expect to hold passive postures for several minutes, allowing time for the body to adapt. The class will introduce mindfulness practices that translate directly to athletic training. Yin Yoga is appropriate for days off training.
