Learn woodworking basics and how to create your own cutting board from talented local woodworker Jim Clapper.
All materials, including hard wood accent strips, glue, and sealing oil, will be provided. You will be able to choose all of your wood pieces, assemble your board, and learn how to glue it together with clamps.
This class is beginner-friendly, but all levels are welcome.
After the workshop, Jim will take the boards back to his studio to sand them, and you'll be able to pick them up at The Local Hand on or after February 2.
Limited spots available. Please register in advance!
Workshop participants will receive 10% off any purchases they make on the day of the class.
About your Instructor: Jim Clapper is a Dorchester-based woodworker, currently working out of his woodshop in Hull, MA.
Workshop tickets are non-refundable, because we purchase all supplies ahead of time based on headcount. Thank you for understanding.
