In less than five years as a band, Austin-based Wood & Wire has earned a respected spot on the rosters of notable festivals like Old Settlers Music Festival, Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival and Austin City Limits Music Festival.
A reflection of members’ musical chops and vast influences, the band’s sound is a seamless blend of traditional bluegrass, progressive harmonies and sophisticated song forms. In short, it’s pure, acoustic music played well by members Tony Kamel (lead vocals, guitar), Dom Fisher (double bass), Trevor Smith (banjo) and Billy Bright (mandolin).


Building on its celebrated self-titled debut album of 2013, Wood & Wire’s second album, The Coast (Feb. 3, 2015), is a coming of age collection of original songs based on personal experience. The Austin Chronicle states, "the combination of solid harmonies and melodies in the tradition make The Coast an album worthy of attention beyond the band's local roots."
