Happy Spring Equinox! The full moon in March is called the Worm Moon, because this is when earthworms start to creep up from the ground as the soil warms!
In this family-friendly workshop, you will learn all about vermicomposting-composting with worms! Meet Red Wiggler worms up close, learn about foods they can and cannot eat, and study their unique body structures.
We’ll then work together to create your very own “worm hotel” full of scrap-gobbling residents to take home! You’ll leave with some dirt under your fingernails, your first vermicompost bin, and instructions for how to keep your wiggly new friends happy, healthy and busy producing “black gold for your spring garden!
This is not a drop-off program; adult supervision is required.
Please note, though we love dogs, they are not permitted at Chestnut Hill Farm.
