Conquistadors first planted V. vinifera vines in Chile in the 1600s. The centuries that followed witnessed volatile political upheavals, waves of immigration, and the rise of prominent industry figures that would all transform the wine industry into what it is today. This class will explain the styles of modern Chilean wine against the backdrop of the country’s history and unique terroir, and showcase classic wines to taste along the way.
You can choose to take this course in person at Commonwealth Wine School or online. If you choose the online option, we will provide you with tasting lists so that you may purchase wine to taste along at home.
