Every day we interact with numerous urban plants and animals - sometimes those organisms directly impact us and sometimes they impact the health of the urban ecosystems without our knowledge. As we interact with urban wildlife it is important to understand how our actions may effect them, and how we can peacefully coexist with organisms that may be considered pests.
This program will look at ways that we can maximize positive experiences and interactions within an urban ecosystem. Topics may include alternatives to pesticides and herbicides, natural animal and plant die-offs, and native landscaping and planting.
