We go for the Wildcats via the ridge trail UP and probably DOWN!
If you are working on your 48, not scared of heights, exposure, and ready to scramble ledges keep scrolling and READ.The hike is put for Saturday is weather is safe. Otherwise, it might be postponed Sunday or Later.
This hike is not a standard hike, this is a more challenging hike. I mean, it requires more scrambling on the granite ridge, and of course, a workout of your whole body. It seems short, but LOOK at the trail description, it is STEEP and we will go down by that steepness. SO if you are uncomfortable going down in general, skip this hike.
Think twice, regular 48 hikes are 10 miles for 3000ft elevation gain. This one start with 1000ft elevation gain in 1 mile.

I'm not expecting anyone going fast on the way up the ridge, but after, on the wilcats traverse, average pace will be 1.5mph.
