Wicked High Tides are coming to Boston! Join the Stone Living Lab, Boston Harbor Now, and community partners at three different locations around Boston’s Waterfront to experience this spectacular natural event.
December 4th and 5th, Boston is due to experience a spectacular tidal event: Perigean Spring Tides. These “wicked high tides” are 2-4 feet higher than normal and give us a window into how sea level rise will soon affect our daily lives.
Hear from Stone Living Lab staff and partners at any of the three following locations:
Long Wharf, Downtown: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/wicked-high-tide-at-long-wharf-tickets-208648793157

About the Stone Living Lab
The Stone Living Lab is an innovative and collaborative initiative for testing and scaling up nature-based approaches to climate adaptation, coastal resilience and ecological restoration in the high-energy environment of the Boston Harbor Islands National and State Park. A “Living Lab” brings research out of the lab and into the real world by creating a user-centered, open, innovative ecosystem that engages scientists and the community in collaborative design and exploration.
A partnership of the City of Boston, UMass Boston School for the Environment, Boston Harbor Now, the National Parks of Boston, the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, and the James M. and Cathleen D. Stone Foundation, the Stone Living Lab engages scientists and the community in research, education, and the promotion of equity. Learn more at https://stonelivinglab.org/.
