Whetherman is the music of 33 year-old independent troubadour Nicholas Williams, who has self-produced eight full-length albums since beginning the project in 2007. By artfully bridging the gap between folk, blues, country, soul, and bluegrass with a timeless tinge, Williams is earning his keep amongst the vast pool of independent American talent in the Americana scene. His songs aim at the heart center, emboldened by the moral struggles of modern man with earnest and poetic lyrics that accompany infectiously melodic vocals, under the current of percussive guitar and rolling harmonica.
Williams’ most recent album, the critically acclaimed ‘This Land’ released in June of 2017. The Alternate Root hails “Over the course of the last decade, Williams has been a student, immersed in the varied styles available in the American Roots songbook. ‘This Land’ introduces the man who has staked out claim in its territory.”
Living on the road for the better part of the last five years, Williams has remained completely independent from labels and management, having taken a grassroots approach to spread the songs he’s created. As Whetherman, he has had the opportunity to open for Taj Mahal, The Wood Brothers, The Wailers, Howie Day, Kim Richey, Donavon Frankenreiter, and Anders Osbourne among many others.

Mike Powell’s story is always new and always just beginning. He’s a fearless free thinker with a strong passion for storytelling and an unbreakable dedication to his maverick way of life. It’s in this constant personal evolution and exploration where he finds his lyrical depth and the messages he aims to send to his listeners. His songs may not make you want to dance but they will surely make you feel.
His live performances are best described as real. Powell is a modern day folk singer with a gift for turning a phrase and a powerfully soulful voice. He presents himself and his songs with an open-chested honesty and authentic conviction that makes it impossible not to believe. With a vividly descriptive verse styling and a universal chorus structure, his songs are specific yet accessible.
His songwriting has garnered international attention through his involvement with the Acoutsic Guitar Project and has received airplay on Sirius XM radio. He is a spontaneous performer with the rare ability to make his audience laugh, cry and always leave inspired.

Connor Garvey is an award-winning singer-songwriter from Portland, Maine, with the amiable presence of an entertainer, the lyrical depth of a poet, and the enchantment of a storyteller.
Garvey leaves audiences uplifted and inspired through a positive message delivered in a way The Portland Press Herald says proves you can be optimistic and self-aware without being boring. His unique sandy tenor and masterful blend of rhythm and melody draw comparison to Paul Simon and contemporaries Josh Ritter and Jason Mraz. He wins song competitions. He fills rooms. But most of all he moves people.
Garvey’s combination of songwriting and performance strength has earned him numerous awards including being named winner of the Kerrville New Folk, Rocky Mountain Folks Fest, SolarFest, Wildflower Art and Music Festival and Maine Songwriters Association songwriting competitions, voted as Most Wanted artist at the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, nominated for Best Male Performer in the New England Music Awards, and a top new singer songwriter by Sirius XM’s The Coffeehouse. On his latest release, Meteors and Beating Hearts, Garvey shows further maturity as a songwriter, addressing personal and universal themes through a series of lyrical stories.
