Join us for this month's Sex Positive Boston discussion!
The topic is birth control and STI prevention -- What do YOU use? Condoms, the pill, the IUD, fertility tracking, pulling out, crossing your fingers and hoping for the best? One of the many other options? What has worked well for you? What's been terrible? Are you still looking for a better way? What are your experiences with talking about protection with partners, friends, family members, etc.? Do you find that the people in your life are comfortable hearing/talking about it? We'll explore these questions and more!
After the discussion, anyone who feels like it is invited to join us for chatting and hanging out at Doyle's, a bar that is next to the Meeting Point.
Show-and-tell
Following the discussion, we'll have a brief show-and-tell of any sexual acceptance related projects anyone is working on. Feel free to bring your project (or information on your project) for show-and-tell, if you have one.
Who should come?
This is a public event for people of all genders, races, generations (18+), etc. Our hope is to have a diverse crowd. Feel free to invite people!
Donations
This is a free event. You are welcome to donate to Pleasure Pie for organizing the event / The Meeting Point for hosting us, but it is totally cool not to donate.
Safer Space
Sex Positive Boston strives to be a safer space. We will set some guidelines at the start of this meeting, but for now you can check out some guidelines we've used in the past here: http://www.pleasurepie.org/safer-space-guidelines.html
FYI: Coming to this discussion mainly because you're looking for people to hook up with or date is not welcome. This group is about sharing ideas. Please respect the purpose of the group.
Accessibility
This event is taking place at The Meeting Point, a social justice-based healing center in Jamaica Plain. The space is wheelchair accessible and has gender-neutral restrooms.

Spread the Word
We want these discussions to be a space where diverse people from different backgrounds and communities connect by sharing their thoughts and feelings around sexuality. Please help us get a more diverse group of people to our discussions by sharing this event online and/or posting flyers! You can find a printable flyer here: http://www.pleasurepie.org/uploads/4/0/9/8/40981383/spb_flyer__1_.pdf (Or email us at [email protected] and we'll mail you flyers to post.)
