On Saturday and Sunday, April 28 and 29, 2018, we invite you to a giant open house in our neighborhood. West Medford Open Studios (WMOS) is a free arts event that lets you see the artists in our midst, celebrating the creativity and skill that many of us take for granted in our city. Now in our 19th year, WMOS showcases the talents of over 70 artists from Medford and surrounding communities participating at 28 sites. Come see paintings, sculpture, pottery, photographs, woodwork, drawings, fabric arts, blown glass, and jewelry— and meet the artists who create them.
Come see us, but also listen, taste, and take part. Hear local writers and musicians who will be performing throughout the weekend. Delight in a gourmet food tasting. Check out a pottery throwing demonstration. Jam out with a jazz band, or get crafty creating a collage. There is plenty of free street parking to get you here. Then jump out of your car and take the time to do what we rarely do these days: walk through our neighborhood, bump into your old friends and make new ones, slooow down for an afternoon.
See why we have been called the friendliest and coolest Open Studios around. Visit www.wmos.org for an event map and tons more information about us and all the artists. More information can also be found on the West Medford Open Studios Facebook page and on Instagram @west_medford_open_studios.
West Medford Open Studios is a non-profit organization supported by the Medford Cultural Council, participating artists, local businesses, and friends. For more information about West Medford Open Studios, visit WWW.WMOS.ORG or contact Tanya Howard (781) 706-0451.
