In October 2017, the Massachusetts Personalized Learning Edtech Consortium (MAPLE) released its innaugural Landscape Analysis on Personalized Learning in Massachusetts. The report incorporates data from a statewide survey on personalized learning practices as well as infrasturcture and device access metrics and focus groups with MAPLE member districts.
In this session, participants will:
Explore which personalized learning practices are being practiced in schools
Identify common obstacles involved in personalizing learning, including professional development and strategic planning
Examine the key infrastructure challenges faced by school districts, with an emphasis on understanding how rural, urban, MAPLE, and Non-MAPLE districts are addressing these issues
Evaluate themes that emerged from MAPLE member focus groups, with the goal of identifying emerging "bright spots" of innovation
