Join best-selling author Jonathan Safran Foer and nationally syndicated environmental radio show Living on Earth (loe.org) for a discussion of Foer's new book, "We are the Weather: Saving the Planet Begins at Breakfast."
We'll explore a surprising, personal, and urgent account of how collective action may be the only way to save our home.
"Some people reject the fact, overwhelmingly supported by scientists, that our planet is warming due to human activity. But do those of us who accept the reality of human-caused climate change truly believe it?"
Previous works by Foer include "Everything is Illuminated," "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close," "Eating Animals," and "Here I Am."
This is LOE's inaugural program for Good Reads on Earth, a series of events where public radio program Living on Earth holds live radio interviews with authors of the latest environmental books.
Upcoming discussions include "The Wizard and the Prophet" with author Charles Mann on Tuesday, October 1st and "The Outlaw Ocean" with Ian Urbina on Tuesday, November 5th.
This event is sponsored by Living on Earth and the UMass Boston School for the Environment.
