Want the skills to earn and keep a good solar job? Join the SHINE solar career program to get certified for solar work. This is a free full-time program that runs for 13 weeks beginning on April 2, 2024.
You’ll learn important life skills along with trade skills. You’ll learn how to stay safe in the workplace, use power tools, and build the racking systems for rooftop solar systems. You’ll also get the skills to build a resume and be confident in a job interview.
This program is for people who are new to solar. You don’t have to have a high school diploma, and you don’t have to have prior construction experience.
Graduates will earn a $1,500 stipend, OSHA and NABCEP certifications and get help with job placement.
Apply now. Space is limited and made available on a first-come-first-served basis. A Fall 2024 training class will be available later this year.
This solar program is a project of the SHINE coalition. The SHINE coalition is organized by Boston-based nonprofits and solar companies, and launched by Rare, a global nonprofit.
Interested individuals should fill out this application: https://rare.org/solar-helping-ignite-neighborhood-economies-shine/interest. If you have questions about SHINE or need assistance, you can email [email protected] or call or text (617) 990-3621.
