Atlanta bred artist J.I.D and his management group Since The 80s (ST80s) will join aspiring creatives for a two day experience at Yale and Harvard on March 6th and March 7th. Day 1 will feature a conversation at Yale’s LC 101 about J.I.D and ST80s past and Day 2 at Harvard’s Smith Campus Center will focus on J.I.D and ST80s future.
J.I.D has established himself as a force in Hip-hop over the past few years. His first two studio albums, The Never Story (2017) and DiCaprio 2 (2018), have gone to receive critical acclaim. In addition, J.I.D was signed to Dreamville, J. Cole’s record label, in 2017.
Barry 'Hefner' Johnson and Zekiel Nicholson, two of the co-founders of ST80s will also give their insightful perspectives in these conversations. ST80s is behind some of today’s most established artists including 21 Savage, Earthgang, and Saba. ST80s was also responsible for putting together Dreamville’s highly publicized Revenge of the Dreamer’s III recording sessions in January 2019.
