Join us for a first look at our newest exhibition, Displacement, featuring works by contemporary artists exploring the relationship between humans and their environments.
Awaken your senses during an activation of Katie Paterson’s artwork, To Burn, Forest, Fire, beginning promptly at 6:30pm. This ceremony involves the burning of two incense sticks–one evoking the scents of the earth’s earliest forest and the other imagining the aroma of the last forest.
Following the ceremony, choose your own adventure! Explore the exhibition on your own or join a museum educator for a short, conversational pop-up talk in the galleries. In the Studio, get creative as you make a one-of-a-kind print using natural materials gathered from the Fenway neighborhood’s iconic Emerald Necklace greenspace. And while you’re here, enjoy a taste of summer with complimentary mocktails, small bites, and a selection of beer and wine.*
*Limit two complimentary drinks per person
