Hosted by...
Jack Burke: Boston-based comic, Jack Burke has rapidly emerged as a young, fresh voice of New England’s storied comedy circuit. He charms comics and audience members alike with his confessional style and irreverent takes on sobriety, intimacy, and family life. He is a staple of independently produced shows and clubs like the world renowned Comedy Studio in Harvard Square.
...and featuring:
Tooky Kavanagh: With razor sharp wit and a charm once described as “ineffable,” Tooky (rhymes with cookie) Kavanagh speaks her mind with honesty, charisma, and edge. After just a few years on the scene, Tooky has already performed in New York, Denver, CO, and all over New England. Her standup credits include: DECEMBER 2018 COMIC-IN-RESIDENCE at The Comedy Studio; The 2017 Women In Comedy Festival; Thunderfest 2017; The 2017 Boston Comedy Festival; Boston Comedy Chicks; The 2017 Boston Comedy Arts Festival; headlining It Ain’t Over ‘Til It’s Dover; headlining Stand-Up Thursdays at John Harvard’s; co-producing Token: Rethink What Comedy Can Be at ImprovBoston; featuring at The Producer’s Club; and Comic Sit-In at The Riot Theater.
Laura Severse: As a streetwise Boston native, devoted wife, working mother of two, storyteller and stand-up comic, Laura brings her hard-working, and heartfelt approach to life to stages across the country. Laura is a member of MassMouth and performs regularly on the WGBH program Stories from the Stage. She has performed all over the country from San Diego to Washington, D.C. and has become a staple of New England comedy. Laura has been featured as a Best of Boston Comic in showcases at CBS Scene, Laugh Boston, and Nick’s Comedy Stop. Laura has been featured in Thunderfest, Women in Comedy Festival, the Boston Comedy Festival Showcase, and hosted a CinderBlock Comedy Festival showcase. She performs regularly at Nick’s Comedy Stop and Laugh Boston.
Jiayong Li: He bid farewell to his family in Beijing and embarked on a journey of mathematical study at MIT. Along the way, he came upon stand-up comedy, and started delivering his cerebral material in a calm and comfortable voice. He was one of the New Faces at Montreal Just for Laughs in 2017.
Zachary Brazão: Began performing comedy in 2015 and has since performed all over Boston, at the Cape Fear Comedy Festival, and once in Calgary.
Zach’s jokes will have you laughing at his baby body one minute and crying about the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire the next. His major influences include the American Pageant History Textbook and Keno lounges throughout the South Shore. He is currently reading the Personal Memoirs of Ulysses S. Grant.
Chase Abel: Didn't send us a bio. You'll have to come see the show to learn more about him.
