Triad Theatre Company (TTC) will present “A Wrinkle in Time”, adapted for the stage by John Glore, at Curtain Call Theatre (CCT) in Braintree, Ma on September 22, 23, 29 & 30 at 7:30 PM and September 24 & October 1 at 2:00 PM.
Adapted from Madeleine L’Engle’s much-loved classic novel, Meg Murry travels through time and space battling the forces of evil with her brother Charles Wallace, friend and neighbor Calvin O'Keefe, and celestial beings Mrs. Whatsit, Mrs. Who, and Mrs. Which, to rescue her father and save humanity, and along the way she discovers herself.
Said director Toni Ruscio, “I am so excited to bring this show to our community, especially to our female population. Meg Murry is one of literature's most enduring young heroines; and Madeline Bonatti’s portrayal of this character is so sincere and relatable that, I believe, many people will find both Meg and Madeline to be powerful role models for girls and women of all ages.”
She continued, “Parents and guardians planning to bring the kids for a family date night should know that while we think this play is suitable for audiences ages 5 and up, there are some strong visual elements, loud sounds, and darker characters that may be scary for our younger patrons.”
Immediately following each Sunday matinee, TTC will offer a talkback session where there will be an opportunity to discuss the play with the Wrinkle team. Audience members will also be invited to take photos with the actors after all performances.
Tickets cost $20 each and can be purchased at www.triadtheatrecompany.com. Triad Theatre Company is located at Curtain Call Theatre, 182 Commercial Street, Braintree, Ma.
