Acquire the skills you need to design, optimize, and maintain next-generation tribological systems. Over the course of three intensive days, alongside MIT experts and accomplished global peers, you’ll examine actionable frameworks for:


• Controlling friction and wear behavior through lubrication and material and coating selection.

• Designing tribological surfaces and troubleshooting tribology problems.

• Analyzing the mechanics of solid elastic and elastoplastic contacts.

• Leveraging various modes of wear, including adhesive, delamination, fretting, abrasive, erosive, corrosive, oxidational (mild and severe), melt, and the wear-mechanism maps.
