Triad: Boston's Choral Collective Presents "Subversive Tonality"

1555 Massachusetts Ave.
Cambridge, MA
Sunday, April 9 at 8:00 pm
Clarendon Hill Presbyterian Church
155 Powder House Blvd.

Triad’s “Subversive Tonality” concert presents new choral music that reinvents and rejuvenates tonal norms—music that refers to, comments upon, and subverts the familiar harmonies used by Bach and Mozart. You will hear common chords in new contexts: noble, creepy, crazy, sophisticated, and spiritual. The program features a jazz-pop piece as well as premieres of new works by Triad composers Thomas Stumpf, Emma Daniels, Jeremy Faust, and Julian Bryson. Two of the premieres incorporate a string quartet.
Receptions, food, and drink will follow both concerts.
