About this Event


Join Tara Mazanec of Tara Mazanec Wellness LLC and Yoga Instructor Meg Gaucher (@megmovesyoga) for a virtual combo class featuring strength training and stretchy vinyasa yoga.


This is a 60-minute fitness class designed for a remote or at-home environment. Keeping in mind different levels of fitness, this class is for all bodies and abilities. Expect to leave feeling sweaty, refreshed, and stronger than when you arrived on your mat.


This class will begin with 30 minutes of strength training led by Personal Trainer and Wellness Coach Tara followed by a 30-minute slow vinyasa flow led by Yoga Instructor Meg Gaucher.


This class is brought to you by Sweet Squeeze Events; creating juicy experiences that inspire, all over Boston for wellness lovers and businesses interested in promoting the pursuit of well-being!


You will need only a mat, water bottle, work out sneakers, and two weighted objects at 8-10 pounds, and a mobile device or laptop for streaming! Zoom link for online class will be sent out 15 minutes before the class begins.


**SLIDING SCALE DONATION FROM $4-50 for all attendees to accommodate those challenged by the COVID-19 crisis.**


**We plan to donate all proceeds to Volunteers of America of Massachusetts residential treatment program for women challenged by addiction and mental health challenges during this time. Volunteers of America of Massachusetts serves more than 150 women each year in our recovery services. As we experience the seriousness of COVID-19 and its impact across every intersection, these issues become even more amplified in the lives of our most vulnerable.**


BACKGROUND ON VOLUNTEERS OF AMERICA OF MASSACHUSETTS:


Volunteers of America of Massachusetts is an organization specializing in behavioral health care for individuals challenges by substance use and mental health disorders. Founded in 1896 by two social activists Ballington and Maud Booth, the organization was formed to providing shelter and essential services to the poor. Since its founding, the organization has been committed to reaching and uplifting the American people, especially those with the most needs.


Shiloh House is one of the two residential recovery treatment programs for women in Massachusetts. This program was the FIRST Massachusetts licensed Co-Occurring Enhanced program to treat both mental health and addiction together under one program.

BACKGROUND ON YOUR TEACHERS:


Tara and Meg met at Health Yoga Life Studio LLC. several years ago during teacher training and bonded over their passion of mindful and creative movement they found through yoga. Since then, Tara and Meg have hosted pop-up classes, including a Cardio 'N FLow class led by Tara, coordinated by Meg at Athleta on Newbury Street. This will be their first time hosting an ONLINE class together.


Tara is a Personal Trainer, Holistic Health Counselor, and Yoga Instructor. Tara has been working in the fitness and wellness space for nearly two decades coaching people on how to take command of their own wellness. Her business, Tara Mazanec Wellness LLC offers wellness education and training programs.


Meg of @megmovesyoga believes movement is medicine. Meg received her 200 Hour Yoga Certification in July 2017 in Boston, MA. Her goal as a yoga teacher is to help students cultivate body awareness and body intelligence through the practice. In class, Meg assists her students to feel safe, find their strength, and move into the bodily and energetic sensations of the asana practice. She teaches all levels, from restorative to heated flow.
