Topsy-Turvy: Works on Paper by Donald C. Kelley
Gallery Open for Drop-In Saturdays and Sundays 12-5 pm
We gladly open by appointment as well: please email us at [email protected] to request an appointment; 24 hours notice please.
Here you'll discover the unexpected: figures upside down and jumbled together, abstract pieces with holes and torn paper, and paintings with thick impasto layers are all part of the mix. Bold use of color and mark-making are presented in pastels, watercolors, oils, woodcuts, and etchings. All works are available for purchase.
Donald C. Kelley was a founding member of the Artists’ Group of Charlestown (AGC), a prolific artist, an inspiring mentor, and a great friend of the AGC. As an alumnus of both Yale University and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Kelley created artwork spanning several decades. His work is housed in distinguished collections, including the Boston Athenaeum and the Print Department of the Boston Public Library. The AGC is proud to carry on Kelley's legacy of cultivating the arts in Charlestown.
