August 28 will be the LFM's annual Tomato Fest and Back to School celebration ! We'll be highlighting delicious tomatoes from LFM farmers with tastings and recipes, back-to-school kids crafts & games, photo fun, and our famous gazpacho shooters.
And drum roll please ....
Calling all home gardeners, farmers, & backyard growers - we want YOU to join in our annual Tomato Contest. Bring your homegrown tomatoes and enter them in the following categories: Biggest - judged by weight, Littlest (must be ripe) - judged by diameter, Most Unusual - voted by market shoppers. Winners in each category will receive $10 in market gift certificates.
2-3 pm: drop off tomato entries at Market Manager's Tent
3-5 pm: voting by market shoppers
5-6 pm: winners announced and entries and prizes can be picked up.

You'll find the best in local food and farms at the Lexington Farmers' Market every Tuesday, from May 29th - October 30th, 2-6:30PM (Closing at 6PM in October). The market is held at the corner of Massachusetts Avenue and Fletcher Avenue at Woburn St, with parking available. The LFM accepts SNAP and doubles SNAP dollars up to $15 per week.
